The Otford Public School difference
A place where every child belongs
Our school welcomes students from all backgrounds and strives to ensure every child feels safe, included, and ready to learn from their very first day. Otford Public School has a proud tradition of strong community involvement, with families playing an active role in school life through our P&C and community initiatives. Together, we foster a warm and inclusive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging and families feel connected and valued.
Growth in the classroom and beyond
We are proud of our strong literacy and numeracy results, achieved through high expectations and personalised support for every student. Our teachers know each child’s strengths and areas for growth and use evidence-based teaching practices to help all students reach their full potential.
Support for every family
Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.
Principal's message
Connect
At Otford Public School, our motto “We learn and grow together” reflects the strength of our community. Families, staff, and students work in partnership to ensure every child feels supported and valued. As Principal, I am proud to lead a school where belonging and collaboration are at the heart of all we do.
Succeed
The advantage of our small school is that every child is known. Teachers respond to each student’s academic and social-emotional needs, providing purposeful support and extension. Programs in Inspire – High potential and gifted education (HPGE), outdoor education, and transition pathways give students opportunities to grow with confidence and success.
Thrive
We place student growth and wellbeing at the centre of our work. By nurturing resilience, curiosity, and a love of learning, we prepare children to flourish now and into the future—because at Otford, we learn and grow together.
